Teen Services Discord Channel
The Columbus-Lowndes Public Library provides a private Discord server for teens to join where they will receive updates and information regarding teen programs before the general public. Server channels include Rules of Conduct, general information, and channels regarding each teen program. The server is monitored by CLPLS staff, and any misuse results in an automatic kick from the server. Click the Discord icon to the left of the page to join today!
Anime + Manga Club
Twice a month, teens are invited to join the CLPLS Anime + Manga Club. This club is currently hosted on the Twitch channel. We watch a wide variety of anime from slice of life, Shonen, Shoujo, and more. Manga picks from the library shelves are also highlighted during this time.
Monthly Crafts and Writing Workshop
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CLPLS provides teens with their own craft kits to take and make at home. Crafts so far have been Blackout Poetry Kits, Color By Number kits, and more.
For teens who have joined the Discord server, a once-monthly Writing Workshop is held to flex writing muscles and to help with any homework or writing projects. This is held on the Discord server and via Zoom.
